invisible girl

i relate to the character in some way, because she initially wanted to feel invisible so she wouldn't have to be hurt. there is instances in which i do wish i was invisible as well and also wish i had a place where in can escape troubles just like her. she uses reading as an escape from the world, which is what i so sometimes.

Invisible Girl

The story Invisible Girl does show you experiences,of loneliness. In the beginning of the story, her mother doesn't care much for her and her father doesn't stand stand up for her. Early in the story her mother abandons her and her father send her to a friends family. When she goes there she makes new friends but, soon they begin treating her as if she was invisible and she is left alone.
there is one plot twist in the story, which i believe to be very important. In the beginning Stephanie, just wants to be invisible and she finds anyway toe scape the real world, such as reading her Nancy Drew stories, however soon after she moves with the new family, Stephanie begins lying to fit in with her friends. This plot twist adds to the story, because the character was introduced as someone who wanted to fins a way to feel invisible in the new city. It was surprising that she would lie to fit in. Soon after she begins lying the truth gets out and she once again is left to feel invisible.

Invisible Girl

Dear Stephanie,

I hope your liking your new home, i know it must be hard to have to leave your dad knowing the unstable condition he is in. But maybe you will grow to like your new home, you seem to have great people there. Annie seems very nice, as well as a good home. Most likely you will be able to find a new place where you can feel invisible, then again maybe feeling invisible is not the best choice. You keep saying that your scared because of the older boys but they seem nice, you should get to know them. your last comment however trying to steal her dad, you don't have to he is there for all of you.

                                                                        Sincerely, Nayeli G.

3rd independent reading book

For my third independent reading book i will read Invisible Girl. The book really interested me when i began reading in class. I want to know what happens to the girl , if her mother ever comes back, is she ever able to regain her life. Will she always be fearful?. The story interest me because she states that when her mother drinks her father never drinks but when her mother left he began drinking i wonder if he will begin the same cycle as her mother.

class reading wrap up

During our class reading time i began to read the story Invisible Girl , the story has a very melancholy feeling at the beginning. It begins with the main character running into a closet hiding from her parents. She describes a strong whiskey smell, as she walks into the closet she is so scared she wets her pants and has to take of her pants and underwear and use a coat to cover herself. She begins to hear the yelling come closer and closer then her mom finally walks in and beings yelling at her. She already expects her mother to hit her so she is ready and it begins her mom pulls the jacket of, and begins hitting her. When it needs her mother begins crying and saying sorry. Then the main character notices a suit case she begins putting pieces together and begs he mother to stay but she doesn't listen and leaves.
